In its first iteration, Orion Bridge has been enabled between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, with more blockchains to be integrated shortly.

Atomic Swap.

Atomic swaps are automatic exchange contracts that allow two parties to trade tokens from two different blockchains. While a well-known concept in the community, they are implemented in a small number of projects. Until now.

Atomic swaps enable immediate exchange of two assets on different blockchains, without wrapped assets or delays.

Peer-to-Peer.

Peer-to-peer technology enables true decentralization: the direct exchange of an asset between individual parties without the involvement of a central authority.

Unlike other bridges dependent on centralized entities and validators, users swap with only one counterparty - our brokers. This eliminates the risk of 51% attacks and other vulnerabilities seen across leading bridges.

Broker Network.

Orion's Broker Network underpins the entire ecosystem, and Orion Bridge is no different. Orion Brokers are always online via Orion Broker Software, so users never need to 'seek' a counterparty for exchange. 

These brokers (including KuCoin, AscendEX, and more) enable immediate cross-chain trading of assets, without limits, delays, refused orders, or blocked funds.

What's NEXT?

Orion Bridge V1 is the first step towards marketwide interoperability. 

Atomic swaps are a powerful continuation of the idea of "removing" the boundaries between blockchains. Going forward, we will integrate further chains and plan to move all transaction settlements to a cheap network in a way that remains transparent to users - finally removing the boundaries between blockchains.

Available assets to bridge and cross-trade on launch will include: ORN, USDT, USDC, ETH, FTM, LINK, MATIC, and COMP. New assets will be added weekly, and with each subsequent chain.
Further Chain Integrations.
In its first iteration, Orion Bridge has been enabled between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain networks. Each subsequent chain onboarded into Orion Terminal will be integrated into Orion Bridge.
Deeper Liquidity via Brokers.
Our broker network underpins Orion Bridge. Every additional broker onboarded into Orion Terminal will be integrated into Orion Bridge for deeper liquidity.
Public Broker Network.
A peer-to-peer public broker network will enable Orion Bridge to scale infinitely - offering cross-chain trading of any assets in our brokers' accounts or wallets.
